Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Associateto join our Technology Solutions Group (TSG). The TSG division of the firmassists clients with infrastructure decisions, including what hardware andsoftware to purchase, as well as providing support for the systems in place. Inaddition, TSG assists clients with financial software (ERP) selection,implementation and support. The ideal candidate for this position will have asales and financial background and a passion for technology.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of thesales success of the firm’s Technology Solutions Group, focusing on achievingannual product and service revenue sales targets by managing new customer leadgeneration and lead closing, and by obtaining high levels of customersatisfaction. Candidate will use lead generation efforts, including attendingand managing networking events, targeted campaign follow up and cold calling togenerate new business.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well connected,driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills to lead sales effortsand build our presence in the marketplace.

Successful candidates will be mature and personable –capable of communicating across all staff levels including a productive rapportwith our management team. You must be reliable and willing to attend eventsoutside of normal working hours.

Position Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our technology solutions offerings

  • Prospect, through use of networking, phone, email and social media, into target verticals.

  • Attend networking functions and community events to uncover new leads and prospects.

  • Interact with potential clients to garner interest and schedule appointments.

  • Research potential clients and provide senior sales staff with dossiers prior to scheduled appointments.

  • Communicate with customers about our programs and events. Assist in achieving attendance targets.

  • Sell add-on products and services to existing customers and maintain pricing and knowledge of these products.

  • Stay in touch with all customers on a regular basis.

  • Develop relationships with software vendors.

  • Develop pipeline of qualified leads though personal initiative, planning and execution to achieve annual sales targets. Track and update leads in CRM system.

  • Demonstrate effective customer-oriented sales skills, exceptional relationship building and qualifying skills, group presentation and closing skills

Requirements:

  • Established success in sales in IT industry preferred (5 + years)

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of technology

  • Interested in learning to conduct software / focused product demos and informational webinars which will demonstrate applicant’s understanding of offerings

  • Ability to clearly communicate and build trusting relationships with employees, customers, industry influencers and management team

  • Ability to achieve sales targets through effective questioning, listening, qualifying, presenting and engineering agreement

  • Ability to accept change, maintain flexibility, innovate and demonstrate high levels of emotional maturity to achieve performance goals

  • Ability to learn and communicate technical and product attributes and concepts to fulfill customer goals and issues

  • Ability to use automated productivity tools to manage pipeline, develop analysis, make presentations and communicate effectively with all audiences
